Ministries at HCC
If you're interested in serving in any of the following ministries, contact us at email@example.com, or directly contact the ministry heads listed below. Please note, in order to serve in our ministries, you must be a member of HCC. If interested in pursuing membership, check out our calendar for any upcoming classes.
The AV team meets in harmony with the praise team to prepare for worship. The AV team is always looking for new team members to operate the audio mixer and lyrics presentation on Sundays! Training is provided so no prior experience is necessary.
If interested in serving with AV, please contact Stephanie at:
firstname.lastname@example.org or chat with her on Sundays!
The baptism team helps prepare for our quarterly baptisms. Preparation involves managing baptismal gowns, as well as assisting baptismal candidates on the day of the baptism.
The college ministry is currently directed by our pastoral assistant, Peter K, along with Richard D. While teaching college bible study is left to our pastoral staff and elders, if you enjoy interacting with college students, we suggest serving in the van ministry to pick up the college students. College ministry is also always looking for homes to host college fellowship or bible studies, so please let us know if you're interested in hosting!
If you're a college student looking for more info, make sure to check out our college ministry page.
The parking ministry directs traffic in the parking lot during peak hours of traffic.
The praise team meets in unison with the AV team. The praise team usually worships on Sunday morning, before service. The praise team typically consists of: vocals, guitar, bass, drum, keyboard and piano. If you play any of those instruments or are a vocalist, the praise team would love to have you on board! Praise team is also looking for violinists, cellists or woodwind players for occasional Sundays and special services.
If you are over the age of 25 and carry a valid U.S. driver's license, the van ministry would love for you to help pick up college students! We currently have college students needing a ride from American University in D.C. and from UMCP. If you're not over 25, but are still interested in helping out, we also need drivers with their personal vehicles to pick up students!
If interested in serving on the van ministry, please contact Vincent at:
email@example.com, or speak with him on Sundays.
The welcome team's main duty is to greet visitors and members as they walk into the chapel on Sunday mornings. The welcome team is usually the first person a newcomer will converse with when visiting HCC. If you're interested in building relationships with newcomers and plugging them into HCC, the welcome team would love to have you!
If interested in serving on the welcome team, please contact Lileth at:
